What is it and when is it used?
Modern medicine demands the utmost care from surgeons. Correct and rigorous preoperative planning for a patient undergoing shoulder replacement surgery is essential for the success of the surgery.
Nowadays, surgeons have at their disposal a wide range of programs and software that allow them to study the patient’s anatomy and thus predict the critical steps of the surgery and the correct choice of implants.
In all patients who are going to undergo a shoulder prosthesis, a computer tomography study is requested, which then allows 3D reconstructions to be performed and, in this way, the prosthesis that best adapts to the individual and unique anatomy of each patient to be evaluated.
